Thank you so much for making this video. I was born into JW and it never set well with me. I was never baptized as one, which gave me a loophole in communication with my only sister and my parents, but it was an extremely strained relationship after I left. It was a very difficult childhood and existence without family, and knowing the depths of what they were still involved in, but I kept my mouth shut. I am thankful for people like you who speak up. Remember that every single individual that has claimed to be an 'Elder' has been neck deep and fully supporting footsoldier in the Cult that had wasted and completely destroyed countless lives, while working their way up ambitiously like an obedient little robot to receive that title and selling themselves lock stock and barrel and abandoned all sense and logic to the cult, was involved in dragging people to judicial committees, subjecting them to horrific and very personal intimate interrogations, disfellowshiping people and cruelly shunning people? Is that the kind of experience you are now praising him for here?

My friend is a witness and has been indoctrinated since he was a child by his mother who was seduced by this organization that is decrepid.

Sure, none of us is perfect, but that has all too often been used by the Watchtower Society's Governing Body as an excuse to justify their flip-flopping on their doctrines. By doing that, the Watchtower Society has already shown itself to be untrustworthy in teaching its congregations "new light". That in itself should be a red flag to warn Jehovah's Witnesses that they are in a false religion, and that they should "get out from under Babylon" as the Holy Bible has put it. Thank you for exposing the lies, hypocrisy, and cowardly excuses of the Watchtower Society.

My parents became JW in 1958. A very strict rule was the watchtower and awake magazine was the only truth. Bethel located in New York printed the only appropriate literature! A cult brain wash starting from childhood. Sexual abuse by elders and select members of the chosen 144,000 ruling body. Breaking from them was the best decision of my life. Anyone breaking free can breathe. Young girls and women suffer the most it is definitely a male entitlement faith! Women are expected to take abuse as an act of faith. Escaping is freeing! The world was supposed to end in 1974. Education beyond basic was not encouraged which is intentional as shared by this video! Thank you for sharing.

I was a witness for 23 years i came out of the faith because i am gay. had some good years as a witness! But i am who i am and all i say is do your research with all religions! It is not just the witnesses that are misleading people. There is life after religion 🥰

Second generation jw, I was in until I was 30. After learning about the lies of 607bce, child abuse, donation mishandling, child labor through rbc/ldc, my mother, wife and I all woke up and left at the same time. I hope many more learn the truth of this organization and take back whats left of their lives

I think all persons who adhere to a particular religious culture ( cult ) ought to prefix their statement with , " i was born into a family who were believers in J W ism , but not born as a J W or anything else for that matter but merely as a Human Being !

Hi how are you? I'm so confused and lots all my life since 16 years old all I knew is Jehovah witnesses. Congratulations to you, really. One must have a huge sense of ethics to give up a high position of power, in order to be in peace with himself. You've already achieved a lot and be proud of it, as a human being. Religion is what chains people from true happiness and to respect the other human beings. I'm an atheist and I believe that I must be a virtuous man not to receive a "reward" from some invented god but because of my ethics and wellbeing of the community I live in. I've grown up in a highly catholic environment and I've realised in my teenage years, and the years to come, how toxic it was. All the members of the church think they are better than the others and that they follow what Christ preached but in reality many of them are simply racists, homophobic and do charity to "show off". Totally far from the teachings of Christ. Once again, I'm an atheist but I'm way more christian than many of these people I know and it's sad to think about it. My family thinks I'm a little bit crazy because of my non-believing. That's the reason I think one of religions' strenghts is about setting specific rules you must follow to be part of that community. Setting specific social rules. If you don't follow them, you are out, an outcast, the black sheep. It doesn't matter if you are a good person.

My mom was disfellowshiped and the elders told my grandmother that she couldn’t associate with her own daughter nor could she have my mother’s pictures up in her house. My mom wanted to have a relationship with her mother my grandmother so she had Bible studies to come back or as they call it reinstated. That lawyer was not being truthful.

I am so glad that I left that religion. My experience with that religion was traumatic and cruel.

I definitely think a former brother and sister would make a great couple most of us were there because we were searching for the truth, a friend introduced me to a bible study on 2015, the topic on blood kept me from being baptised, got baptised in 2021 in the UK 🇬🇧 had a separation from my husband and an elder told me the bible doesn’t allow divorce without listening to me, I was so annoyed I stepped out, I still had doubts about going back, but I went to the convention, I was always scared to bring up my children under a cult. I was raised JW in the 1960s. They said the world was going to end in the 1970s. I was so scared. Anyway, when I fell in love with The Beatles, they said I was idol worshiping. After that, I decided I liked the Beatles more than Jehovah.

This was almost exactly MY experience. I could relate 100%. It was def the ARC where I saw exactly what you saw, a member of the GB lying, flat out lying! And on such a critical question. I absolutely lost myself in tears and then I was just pissed. Now almost 10 yrs later the pain is there, the trauma is there, but no way in bell I'm going back. "Raised" in it, serving as reg pioneer for 17 yrs and I just got a wall send wasn't able to look these students that i loved in the eyes and ask them to accept the things I could no longer accept. Then to read crisis of conscience I could see plainly I was following a very "politically acting" organization- def NOT an organization lead by God. $$$$$ leads them just like any other org. I wish I could shed the angst I feel for being duped for so long - and also misleading my children their entire lives and for which they hold me responsible. It is what it is - but I will not ever regret my decision. The rest is on them - you shouldn't have to lose 50+yrs of dear friends simply because you choose to think differently.

The only thing you need to discard jehovah's witnesses is THE HOLY BIBLE, wherein it is written in THE SECOND BOOK OF MOSES EXODUS Chapter 3 that Abraham >did not know THE NAME OF GOD< yet in THE FIRST BOOK OF MOSES GENESIS it is written that Abraham >did know the name jehovah< as he named a well "jehovah jireh" therefore- THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES THE NAME OF GOD cannot be "Jehovah".

I removed myself and an as an elders 4 months ago after 1 week of PIMO…. Haven’t been to meetings ,only once in that time do only due to my partners still clinging…. I’m so happy now

I had associated with members of the JW while growing up. One particular issue that hit me hard was when they set a deadline for the ebs of the world. We were told the world was going to end in 1975 and when this did not happen, I knew the organisation was not getting anything right

A topic idea for future videos - if a JW leaves the organisation & is shunned by their family & friends, this places the ex-JW at risk, especially younger ex-JWs. Because if everyone they know shuns them, who will make a police report if they go missing?

I’m actually a PIMO Mormon and listening to your experience, the stages you went through, the culmination of everything with the elders, the stories told about you in your congregation…. The Mormons are dealing with some very similar themes, though I’m so grateful that they don’t have a shunning doctrine. Some families and people will still do it though and it is heartbreaking.

I think you give them too much credit that the rumors couldn't start with the elders. Elders are in a position where the sin of pride can take hold and they need a "reason" for the rest of their flock not to follow you. Thus, time to lie for them. ⏰
